The Calcination
Calcination is used for temperatures over 300°C up to a thousand degrees Celsius. Materials undergo thermochemical transformation with the aim of changing their physical and/or chemical properties (sintering, thermal desorption, dehydration, decarbonisation, etc.).
CTP has a range of ovens from laboratory scale to pilot scale.
Equipment | Operation | Heating method | T° | Capacity |
Muffle furnace | Batch | Electrical | 1200°C | 20-45 L |
Laboratory rotary furnace | Continuous (countercurrent) | Propane | 1200°C | 10 kg/h (1) |
Pilot rotary furnace | Continuous (countercurrent) | Natural gas | 1150°C | 150 kg/h (1) |
