Materials taken from deconstruction or demolition represent a value-enhanceable inert materials source, only requiring effective separation upstream, ideally on the construction site. CTP can provide expertise in collaboration with sorting centres and also with various construction federations to develop more or less complex separation and sorting procedures. These activities apply to materials such as natural stone, plaster, masonry, bricks and insulating materials, to obtain at least mixed granulates of consistent quality, compliant for use as a standardised product. Other more specific uses are also in development, requiring separation using the best existing technology (optical sorting, hyperspectral imaging, Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy, etc.) to take into account recent architectural developments (more materials mixed or composites and procedures).
