Up until a short time ago, the lens of the cone containing lead could be incorporated into concrete blocks. This use was recently banned owing to the risk of the lead propagating into the environment. The aim of the project is to demonstrate the technical-economic feasibility of a recycling process involving lead glass developed at laboratory level by the CTP.
