Our expertise
The expertise of CTP is based around the main "Mineral Processing" procedures it provides:
- Comminution;
- Separation;
- First-stage processing extractive metallurgy (hydro- and pyrometallurgy).
These procedures are applied to both raw and materials and adapted to the specific characteristics of industrial waste or by-products of all kinds.
The analysis and profiling laboratories, specialising in the mineral chemistry of raw materials (mineral deposits, quarries, etc.) or technological materials (plastics, composites, electronic waste, etc.), bring invaluable benefits to the development of projects through their long experience.
This expertise comes alongside a deep-seated knowledge of the chemistry of "materials", comprising:
- The stabilisation/encapsulation of pollutants in material of mineral origin;
- Study of the activation of materials ("pozzolanic" behaviour) through specific treatment (mechanochemistry);
- The incorporation, after inerting, of what is known as "final" waste (RPIFHW, asbestos, slag, MSWI, etc.) in material for construction and civil engineering projects.
The combination of these skills enables CTP to provide industrial companies with INTEGRATED solutions for processing and enhancing industrial and post-consumer by-products.
From the outset, the most profitable (value added on the LANSINK's ladder) and technically accessible way forward was sought by the Centre Researchers.
