RECYGLASS

The project pursued three objectives:

• The development of new supply chains in cullet: the sectors involved must meet the required standards of quantity and quality. Three sectors are targeted: renovation, demolition and container parks.
• The purification of cullet: a large proportion of the cullet available on the current market does not meet the purity requirements of the glassmakers. As an addition to specific sectors, purification techniques are necessary.
• The recycling of internal production waste: this recycling can be carried out in-house by improvements in the recycling techniques or by modifying processes. It can also be outsourced by being reutilised by other partners.
