REVADEC & REVADEC II

Development of a technology for the rehabilitation of former landfill sites applied to a defined concrete case

This project aimed to establish an industrial flowsheet relating to the treatment and recycling of the materials in former landfill sites:

  • Leading to a reduction of the volumes of ultimate waste;
  • Whose recycling of salvaged materials covers, at least partially, equipment depreciation and the operating and installation costs;
  • Which takes into account the problems of odour and toxicological nuisances linked to the handling of waste.

Optimal recycling of the material waste stream generated by the rehabilitation of former landfill sites

The present project has maintained continuity with the REVADEC project as it has sought to identify, test and approve the most appropriate recycling pathways for the predominant fractions generated by various treatments, including the mineral fraction and the light fraction, primarily composed of plastics.
